ABOUT
Eileen Ryan is an interdisciplinary artist from New England. She merges her background in microbiology, art, and hospitality to craft exploratory works centered around interspecies communication, spiritual microbiomes, mysticism and the recognition of humans as a pivotal filter of our known natural world. Her observations, performances, and multimedia works convey the complexity of the moral choices tied to curiosity. The temptation to know more and experimental trial and tale, unite empathy and reverence and remind us of a responsibility in the face of curiosity.
